Construction work is taking place on the R1 European cycle route in the Salzland district

The R1 European cycle route is being upgraded in the Salzland district of Saxony-Anhalt. The construction work will take place at various points between March and September 2024.
The R1 will be upgraded at the following locations:

• Friedrichsaue - Schadeleben
• Neukönigsaue - B 180
• Hecklingen, Quedlinburger Weg
• K 1370 - L 73
• Nienburg, Askaniastraße
• Sixdorf - Biendorf

In Hecklingen, Friedrichsaue and Neu Königsaue, there will be a change of route so that the R1 European Cycle Route will pass tourist attractions here.
