UNESCO arcade houses Dessau

The arcade houses (1930) built under the direction of Hannes Meyer served as "people's housing" for poorer workers and employees. A model apartment restored to its original condition can be viewed as part of a guided tour.

In July 2017, the arcade houses were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
